MakersLAB.TV S2E3 - Design and Make a Coaster Set by MotoGP Circuits Theme, Designer Interview

How to make customised coasters

Riley shows you how to make customised coasters and a storage box for keeping them safe and secure.

The images engraved on each coaster symbolises different race tracks of the MotoGP Circuits.

He did all of this using AM’s TruCUT laser and engraving machine.

Laser Tube Lifespan

Glass tubes cost less due to the fact that their laser is produced by exciting gas with direct current, which is a relatively inexpensive process. Glass tubes also produce good-quality beams that work well for laser cutting.

Your laser tube will last you a period of 6 to 12 months if you use it for 4 to 6 hours per day at the power of 80 and 100 Watts.

If you use 50 Watts of its power your laser tube will last you the whole year (12 Months)

This is also affected by the type of work that you do due to the fact that engraving uses less power than cutting does.

AM.CO.ZA stocks a full range of laser tubes.
