Maker Video: Design and Make an Office Monitor Station by MDF Supawood Cut on TruCUT CO2 Laser Cutting Machine
The idea of a computer monitor station is to place the screen that normally sits on your desk right at the top stand while the keyboard stashed away.
An office monitor station saves up a lot of space.
The keyboard can simply be hidden away in the shelves of the office monitor station.
Also, stats have revealed that the height at which your computer screen is placed on the desk is incorrect and therefore causes back pain.
Let’s get started- Create your office monitor station using Supawood
-Create the design of your choice on a software.
-Decide on how the wood will be cut on the software.
-First step is to measure boarder.
-Engrave the pattern on top of the monitor.
Operation Choice- Engravement on Supawood:
Power= 40
Speed= 330
-Cut the wood into separate pieces
Operation Choice- Cutting Supawood:
Power= 85
Speed=15
Repeated x5
-Use a towel and water with dishwashing liquid to clean the surface of the pieces that will be put together to create the monitor.
-This formula effortlessly removes the dirt or burn from the laser off, off the Supawood.
-This also ensures that the glue does not stick onto the wood.
-Use normal wood glue or Fast Set or Slow Set glue to put the pieces together.
-Use Acrylic to apply the glue.
-Apply glue on lower parts of the inside of your box that way you won’t have your glue sticking to the wood that goes on top.
-It takes approximately 10 minutes for the adhesive to dry.
-Wait for it to dry or set a bit before you can add on the support structures
-When dry you can now slot the shelves in.
-Add glue onto the support structure pieces that will placed in the centre to balance and support the monitor.
That’s it! Easy right?
