When you sublimate a blanket, the process is simple than you think…
From today’s episode you will learn how to make your own customized sublimated blanket using a large format printing machine together with a roll-to-roll sublimation heat press machine.
All you must do is follow 6 steps to make your own personalized blanket:
Step 1: Get your design print ready
Produce your design in a graphic program of your choosing. Make sure that your design is proportionate to your blanket.
Step 2: Get your design printed
As soon as your design is complete, transfer it to your RIP software. Choose the correct layout for your design and then convey it your printer. Print your design onto transfer paper using the large format printer.
Step 3: Have the transfer aligned with the polyester
Align your printed transfer onto your material.
Step 4: Press the blanket
Press the printed transfer onto polyester, with the transfer on top using a roll-to-roll sublimation printer with a medium pressure applied.
Step 5: Pre-Press your material
Press the polyester for a few seconds once more.
Step 6: Finalize the project
Take your sublimated polyester and sew it onto a thicker material.
